Yup, I too would've liked it better if a 3.5mm jack was used. But then again, a 2.5mm is fine with me too. If you check out the more popular music phones (Samsung, SE Walkmans & the iPhone), all of them use proprietary jacks which is a no-no to me coz I wanna use my uber sounding Philips earphone.

Oh, and I'm loving the keyboard already :) But I come from a 6965 which probably has a bad implementation of a keyboard so it's easy to like the Centro's.

Oh, and MMS is working for me again. Never worked with the 6965. Even though I spend hours configuring it. No, days. EDGE is fine too.

And here are sample photos taken by the Centro's 1.3 mp camera. Nothing to shout about but the camera is a pleasure to use (especially when mapped to the voice command button :)):

Where to get a JVM? It doesn't come with one right? See a list of software loaded on my phone: http://www.bernie.net.my/blog/2008/04/1 ... th-centro/

Java is not "officially" supported anymore by Palm but you can always download a self installing "unofficial" copy here:

Opera Mini rocks. Latest beta has autofill which is great.

finally i found a solutiion for this. I'm using i Tech Radio and installed Softick Audio gateway for A2DP support for pTune and the sound quality is superb!

Managed to find a store yesterday with the Centro in stock and as soon as I saw and held it, had to buy on the spot. :)

Definitely worth the upgrade from the Treo 650. Just installed everything from my treo 650 backed up using Rescobackup and the Centro had an infinite loop initially, but then I did a warm reset and disabled things like resco lock and everything runs fine. Very glad since I would hate to spend 2 days configuring my Centro.

Now, I am looking to sell my Treo 650.....

unless u compare with super high quality wire earphone, otherwise my iTech radio + Audio Gateway really did a superb job for me. well, i did agree that battery life is lame when bluetooth is on for music. IT (centro) SURVIVE ONLY 6 HOURS when i use for continuos music and intermittent calling+sufring web.......When will higher capacity battery available in Msia? Any idea Mr YeapCH?

Well, I am. Actually, not super expensive, but I love a particular philips in-ear earphone that performs above average than most earphones. The battery life is a killer though. 6 hours won't cut it with the kind of usage I'm looking at. I hope it'll do better with wired ones.

Welcome wcycafe! Yes, testing the Centro on-the-spot is real killer (to your wallet). Lucky it's quite cheap. Remember the prices for brand new Treos? (2088 and 2588 for both 650 & 600 IIANM). So cheap in fact, it doesn't make sense not buying one :)

I managed to sell off my old 6965 which would cover for about 50% of the price of the Centro. Sweet eh?

I hear there are quite a few fakes with Senheisers out there. How would one know if its ORI! The 2.5>3.5 adapter quality does make a big difference in sound Quality compared to em cheapo ones. I have one from Nokias music phone n the difference is significant...
