Im really comfortable with Garmin Mobile XT for navigation much nicer than mapking and fast to lock the position within seconds. (with enhanced GPS activated)

The UI much easier to use with Omnia touchscreen especially when you already clamped the phone with car holder and connect Onmia jack to the car audio system. You probably do not want to take out the phone and set this and that.

Garmin Ui much simpler to operate with one finger in the car while driving (or traffic light).

To make it more easier install microsoft voice command. Just press one button then you can talk to the phone to Start Garmin or Play music while driving and voice from garmin will lead you the way.

download garmin xt from the url that chokia gives...then go to malsingmaps and look out for the Unlocked / Open version of the latest map.

Anyway after 2 weeks with SPB Mobile shell and touchFLO 3D and trottlelauncher, im getting bored liao. So i uninstalled them and unchecked Samsung Widget, Samsung Today 1 and Samsung Today 2 in menu>setting>today>items

(FYI: Samsung widget is the culprit that making most apps fail to be installed)

So without that unproductive and useless themes and UI, i set to original WM6.1 Today screen which is much much better where every info i want will be on the first page without any flipping, go through all menus and button. It display all my sms & mails, including hotmail and yahoo mails, calendar event, task, windows lives (msn messenger status with avatar), my contact online, wireless, i even have weather, solat time, and friends contact coverflow

So here it is my Omnia's Today screen, today



You can have you own background too. No need to crop picture to 240x400, what you need to do is resize any deskstop wallpaper picture to at least 640x480, upload to the phone and set as wallpaper. It works for both horinzontal and vertical when the phone changes orientation.

Chokia.. i manage to install the Garmin into my OMNIA.

But when i connect, it appear to say, no GPS device found. so any setting required?

there are 4 option on the main screen (Garmin Mobile XT).

1. pruchase & go
2. begin free trial (I Can't connect to the server, why??)
3.Enter product key
4.Connect to a Garmin GPS.

I click the 4th option, so it go to a screen it appear and say - (Before you can start using navigation and Garmin Online services you will forst need to conect to your Garmin GPS receiver. Please make sure your GPS device is powered on and has a clear view of the sky)

then it start to scan... i also dunno wat is that.. it scan quiet a long time, still no response.
so, anything wrong??

Installation procedure:

a) Start installation of 'GarminMobileXTforWindowsMobile_42050w.exe' from PC through ActiveSync. Select your My Storage as destination. During the installation, files will be copied to your My storage. The files should appear in '\My Storage\Garmin\Apps\WM'.
b) Install 'GarminMobileXTSupportFiles_4xxxx.exe' for voice files. In My storage
c) Install 'GarminMobileXTFreeBasemap_4xxxx.exe' for Garmin's base map. In My storage
d) Run GarminMobileXT and click "Connect to a Garmin GPS" go to 'setting\about' record the Unit ID and use keygen to create unlock key.
e) Save as sw.unl file.
f) Copy 'sw.unl' to '\My Storage\Garmin'.
