and i think Chiewata will be next

No we were talking about not buying Nokias as soon as they come off the plane.

Never planned on getting the Touch Pro, but as it so often happens, they had one for sale as I was passing the store. Not my fault.

I have had to hack my TP so that it can do DUN...I hate all these new inventions like Internet Connection Sharing and stuff... had to do it so that my Nokia N810 can use it as a BT modem.

Luckily, it wasn't so hard to do. haha

can anyone confirm or try this?

Nope never tried it, never will. If it's going to drain my battery to zero in one hour, then this is something I'd most likely AVOID doing.

Thanks for the heads up! :)

There's a lot to like in the Omnia, the best being the camera. I still cannot believe some of the pictures I can get out of it. Or maybe my standards are lower than others. haha

Anyway, I agree, you can only like one better than the other. The bigger screen, the fantastic camera, all point to the Omnia as the better multimedia device.

The hardware keyboard makes me think the Touch Pro would be preferred by those who have to do a lot of messaging.

What I dislike about the Omnia is that when the on screen keyboard is On, you can hardly see where you're typing.

As for the HTC, VGA or not, the screen is just too damn small.

Or perhaps I've grown too accustomed to the humongous screens on the Omnia and the Nokia N810.

If only HTC has a HTC Touch HD PRO....that would be perfect. The screen size is just nice, and with slide qwerty.

Anyone know if that is in the works?

Did they announce it when they were developing the HTC Touch Pro ? If they did and this time around they did not do that for HTC Touch HD PRO, then it may be a no-go.

Do you guys have their R&D department email, so we can send a request in for them to consider doing it. It is not so difficult if they want to do it.

Why on earth you want to do that? go to Windows>Start>Settings>Personal>Today de-select the Touch 3D interface and you back to default WM6.1 interface.

CH Yeoh,

Thanks for responding.... I can do that, but I would not have HTC Home plug in (i think that is what it called).
