HTC Killer = TWF (Tech Faith Wireless)

HTC is probably known to all fans of the Pocket PC and Microsoft-OS based Smartphone platform. HTC is currently a clear market leader but this may change soon. One of its challengers among OEM and ODM manufacturers is Chinese TechFaithWireless, whose smaprtphone I am honoured to introduce to you today. Unlike many other smart phones with Windows Mobile, this one is quite spiffy.

As long as their OEM customers request tigther QA controls so the devices are of a better build quality than what we have now choice is always good! ;)

With 512 MB RAM, how long do you think the battery will last - 2hrs? And what's the point? Any chance this is an April Fool's joke?

Looks good! A mash up of Motorola Razr and Nokia 8800. You have got to give it to them for clever copying. But what remains to be seen is the build quality.

It's also at least double the size, and weighs 300gms - form follows function, in this case, functionality comes with comprises in weight and portability.

Wow... Nice and sleek... More ODM/OEM competition is always good for consumers ;)

If the company is the OEM, then don't think it will be available direct.

However, it does look like Motorola....

Like it man.

I love M.A.G.I.C.'s specs more than these new phones except:
- it needs to be less bulky and more sleek
- replace 2 QVGA screens with 1 VGA screen
- replace EDGE with HSDPA
- add support for 802.11G, 802.11B is not good enough!

I know it's asking for too much, but I just love to have a phone that pretty much beats every other phone, so add on top of that:
- FM Radio
- TV Antenna (that whatchamacallit, DVB thang)

and then I would fork out $2000 if I have to!

Someone just explained this to me - it's Mbits, not MBytes. Therefore 512Mbits is equivalent to 64MBytes (dividing by 8). Ok, now I'm officially unexcited by this.
